Overview

A long weekend in the Kumaon hills. Explore Almora, the cultural capital of Kumaon, visit Chitai Golu Devta Temple with its thousands of bells and the ancient Kasar Devi Temple, then spend a night at a riverside camp on the Kosi with a bonfire, and a morning at the waterfall before heading home. ₹5,999 per person including GST, departing every Thursday night from Delhi.

Day-by-day itinerary

  1. 1Day 1Delhi departure (Thursday night)

    Meet your fellow travellers and trip coordinator at the Delhi pickup point and begin the overnight journey to Almora by tempo traveller.

  2. 2Day 2Almora and local exploration

    Arrive in Almora and freshen up. Explore nearby attractions, local markets and viewpoints (depending on arrival time and roads), check in to your hotel or guesthouse and enjoy the evening at leisure. Dinner at the stay.

  3. 3Day 3Golu Devta, Kasar Devi and riverside camping

    After breakfast, visit Chitai Golu Devta Temple, known for its bells and devotees' written wishes, and Kasar Devi Temple for its calm and its views. Travel towards Daulagarh on the Kosi River, settle in at the campsite and spend the evening by the river with a bonfire, slow music and dinner.

  4. 4Day 4Waterfall visit and the drive home

    Breakfast at camp, then a morning at the waterfall. Return to camp, pack up and start back to Delhi around noon, arriving early Monday morning.
