Overview

Meghalaya's hills, waterfalls and rivers with a wildlife finale. After Shillong, Cherrapunji and a camp night at Dawki, drive to Kaziranga National Park for a morning jeep safari to spot the one-horned rhinoceros, elephants and wild buffalo, then fly home from Guwahati. Day-by-day itinerary

  1. 1Day 1Guwahati to Shillong

    Meet your representative at Guwahati airport and drive through green hills to Shillong. Check in and relax.

  2. 2Day 2Shillong to Cherrapunji

    After breakfast, take the scenic road to Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on Earth, and check in to your hotel or homestay.

  3. 3Day 3Cherrapunji sightseeing

    A day for Cherrapunji's waterfalls and viewpoints, including Nohkalikai Falls, with a guide for the Double Decker Root Bridge.

  4. 4Day 4Cherrapunji to Dawki

    Drive to Dawki and see boats float above the clear Umngot river. Overnight in a riverside camp, with dinner included.

  5. 5Day 5Dawki to Shillong

    Breakfast at camp and return to Shillong for your last night in Meghalaya.

  6. 6Day 6Shillong to Kaziranga

    A long, scenic drive into Assam to Kaziranga National Park. Check in at your hotel.

  7. 7Day 7Jeep safari and departure

    An early jeep safari in Kaziranga to look for the one-horned rhinoceros and other wildlife, then breakfast and the drive to Guwahati airport. Trip ends.
