Day-by-day itinerary

  1. 1Day 1Guwahati to Shillong

    Arrive at Guwahati airport, meet your driver and take the scenic road up to Shillong, Meghalaya's hill capital. Check in at your hotel.

  2. 2Day 2Shillong to Cherrapunji

    After breakfast, drive to Cherrapunji (Sohra), one of the wettest places on Earth, through valleys of waterfalls. Check in to your homestay.

  3. 3Day 3Double Decker Root Bridge, Blue Lagoon and Rainbow Falls

    A full day on foot: descend through the forest to Nongriat's Double Decker Living Root Bridge, swim at the Blue Lagoon and continue to Rainbow Falls, then climb back to Cherrapunji.

  4. 4Day 4Cherrapunji to Dawki

    Drive to Dawki and its famous Umngot river, so clear that boats seem to hover over the riverbed. Check in to a riverside camp for dinner and the night.

  5. 5Day 5Dawki to Shillong

    Breakfast at camp, then return to Shillong for a free evening in its cafes and markets.

  6. 6Day 6Departure

    Breakfast, then leave Shillong by about 11 AM for Guwahati airport. Trip ends.
